Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using StreamShōgun ("the Application"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
2. Description of Service
StreamShōgun is a desktop media player application that allows you to import and organize M3U playlists and XMLTV electronic programme guides (EPG). The Application does not host, provide, distribute, or aggregate any media content, streams, playlists, or channels.
3. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The content you import into the Application, including M3U playlists and XMLTV sources
- Ensuring that your use of media content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Any activity that occurs under your account
4. Free and Pro Tiers
The Application offers a free tier with basic features and a paid Pro tier with additional features. Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe at the rates displayed at the time of purchase. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@streamshogun.com.
6. Content Disclaimer
StreamShōgun is a media player only. We do not host, index, aggregate, link to, or distribute any media content. Users supply their own legally obtained playlist files and guide data sources. We have no knowledge of or control over the content accessed through the Application.
7. Intellectual Property
The Application, its design, code, branding, and documentation are the intellectual property of StreamShōgun. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the Application without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. StreamShōgun shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Application, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or engage in activity that we determine to be harmful to the service or other users.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Application or email.
